National Speakers to address how to be good role models for youth.
Naples, FL November 27, 2007 The Today Show's segment featuring Julie Laipply, Shanette Howard and Johan Khalilian, three nationally known speakers who have spent their lives showing youth how to make healthy lifestyle decisions, has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, November 28th. Julie Laipply is a national speaker on successful choices for young people. As Miss Virginia USA 2002, an Emmy-nominated TV show host in New York City, and a four-year Pentagon Senior Management Consultant in leadership, Julie's life demonstrates the power of healthy choices in achieving success and she shows young people how to do the same!
Shenette Howard, Miss Florida International 2006, is a trendsetter for this generation. As a professional speaker she has spoken before the Duval County Legislative Delegation, and has toured with the 2006 Great To Wait conferences throughout Florida. Shenette is currently an educator at Project S.O.S. in Jacksonville, FL where she has been afforded the opportunity to speak to over 50,000 teenagers about making healthy lifestyle decisions.
Johan Khalilian currently serves as a Senior Educator for Caris Prevention Services. Johan is a proud product of Humboldt Park Chicago. His upbringing in the inner-city of Chicago is a major inspiration for communicating a message that deals with an issue that eats away at the very fabric of our culture. Johan has worked in the field of abstinence for five years, starting with Southwest Parents Committee (a branch of Project Reality). Johan was recently featured on the cover of Chicago Tribune's Red Eye promoting abstinence, on Chicago's FOX Morning News and on the Tyra Banks show.
